Welcome to Phoenix Midwife (and also West Valley Home Birth!). I keep my website simple in the hope that we will discuss your pregnancy and health options in person or over the phone. Please call or email if you wish to schedule a free consultation and/or to have your questions answered. I just recently moved to the West Valley and hope to meet lovely families outside of the central Phoenix area. I have a small homebirth practice so that I can continue to practice good old fashioned midwifery, and be more attentive to you and your journey. I am also delighted to work with many other care providers who care about home birth and wellness. I believe every family deserves to have the birth of their choice - and welcome all families with open arms without discrimination or judgement.
The Midwives Model of Care is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes.
The Midwives Model of Care includes:
- Monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle
- Providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support
- Minimizing technological interventions
- Identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention
I have years of experience in all settings, having done international and birth center work, as well as am active in community activism and national midwifery movements. I am so happy you have found my page and are thinking of having a home birth. Please contact me for a free consultation to see if I am the right midwife for you!
I am located near 107th Avenue and Camelback, just minutes from the 101 Freeway and Glendale Stadium/Westgate area. Although I am in the West Valley, I accept clients anywhere valley-wide.
Homevisits are possible - many busy parents find office visits challenging, especially with little ones. Please let me know if you are interested in this option for more information.
